LOS ANGELES – Zendaya is poised to make a fashionable comeback at the 2024 Met Gala on May 6 in New York, as the Euphoria star takes on the role of co-chair alongside stylist Law Roach.
In an exclusive interview with E! News’ Will Marfuggi at the Challengers premiere in Los Angeles, Zendaya hinted at some exciting ideas for fashion’s biggest night. “We have some ideas,” she shared. “It felt like the right time to try to go back to the Met.”
This year marks Zendaya’s first return to the Met Gala in five years, since her iconic Cinderella moment. She noted that co-hosting the prestigious event is “obviously an honor.” In addition to Zendaya, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, and Jennifer Lopez will also serve as co-chairs.
Zendaya’s Challengers co-stars, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist, may also attend the event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Loewe’s creative director, Jonathan Anderson, is set to serve as an honorary chair.
Zendaya’s approach to the red carpet focuses on confidence and experimenting with fashion, often collaborating with Roach. The pair has worked together for many years, creating memorable looks inspired by different themes since Greatest Showman.
Recently, Zendaya has been showcasing tennis-inspired looks for the Challengers premiere, with the movie set to release on April 26. At the premiere, the star donned a black lacy top and pink skirt for a ballerina-inspired ensemble.
Zendaya’s past fashion moments include a dazzling array of styles, from futuristic ensembles to classic gowns. Her upcoming appearance at the Met Gala promises to be a highlight, as she continues to impress with her impeccable sense of style.
